A Double WIN for EBR racing at the ChinaZhuhai Pan Delta Round 1

EBR厂队首战泛珠赛获双赢

3月21日-22日，2015年泛珠三角超级赛车节春季赛隆重开幕，作为泛珠保留节目的中国最高级别的摩托车组别赛事之一的“泛珠超级摩托车组”的比赛也迎来了新年的首场比赛。

来自美国摩托车老品牌BUELL公司的奠基人——艾力克·布尔，2013年合资创办EBR厂队并打造一系列全新的高性能摩托车。为了EBR摩托车在中国市场的知名度提升，美国EBR车队决定将会参加2015年全年赛季的泛珠三角赛车节。

在香港和中国的支持帮助下，才以确保运送比赛摩托车及其他装备的过程顺利进行，并由BG管理EBR在中国和香港的赛事。

尽管他们的车和工具比预期到晚些，BG还是想尽办法将所有东西在周末赛车节准时运到珠海赛车场。

当最终参赛车手名单被公布出来，所有人惊讶地注视着名单上的43辆参赛车，是在珠海赛事中有史以来参赛车手最多的一次。

EBR负责人John Dimbylow, 车手Cory West，高级技师Tony，专业摄影师记者Brain以及他们的香港代表James已於周三全部抵达珠海。

EBR专业车手,前AMA车手 Cory West周四练习时，首次在珠海赛道上第一次练出圈速1分37妙，大家都期望看到他在正赛的表现。

周六早上的排位赛，由于参赛车数量很多，赛道上比较拥挤，所以此次排位赛要分成两组，A组的快车车手们还是开得比较慢。最终Cory造出1分35秒80的最快圈速，令人难以置信的是他同时刷新了珠海赛车场SBK的新记录！周六的第一回合，雅马哈年轻车手李郑鹏，也令人十分敬佩，他第一次用1000cc的R1参赛能跑在Cory之后。当红灯灭了之后，两人同时起步，第一圈之后李郑鹏紧逼近Cory，进入第6圈，可能受到之前发生的交通意外，李郑鹏已经很难能够超越，Cory以较好的优势赢得了比赛。

Erik Buell, Founder of the famous US built Sport bike brand “BUELL”  has, in 2013, started a New venture of building a totally new high performance bike with the new brand “EBR” 

In 2015, In order to promote the EBR Motorcycle Brand in the Greater China market,  it is decided that A EBR US team will race full season at the famous Zhuhai Pan Delta Racing Festival in 2015.

The Pan Delta racing Festival with its 12 years history has always been heralded as one of the Top Racing event in Chinaand was attended by the most number of spectators and participating teams and sponsors. 

Just to make sure that the whole procedure of sending the race bikes and all other items can go smoothly and also getting the best support in Hong Kong and China,  EBR-US has secured the support service from BG-Performance in HK andChina.

Despite the late arrival of the Race bikes and the large amount of supporting materials, BG managed to ship everything to Zhuhai Circuit just in time for the racing weekend.

The 1 st round of the Pan Delta Festival is on the 21-22/3/2015, and being the 1st race of the new year, a big turnout in both race participants and Spectators are expected coming in the weekend.

When the final entry list for the SBK race was announced, everyone was shocked to see a record breaking entry of 43 bikes making this the biggest entry of Bikes in Zhuhai races.

The EBR team arrived to Zhuhai on Wed with Team boss John Dimbylow, Rider Cory West, Senior Tech Tony, Professional Photographer Brian and their Hong Kongrepresentative James. 

The Team with Support from BG has in no time, readied for the race,  on Thur practice, EBR Pro Ex-AMA Rider Cory managed to stunted the crowd with a record leveling 1.37 lap time being only the 1st time and the 1st day at the Zhuhai Track, so everyone was keen to see what will happen coming to the actual race.

On Sat Morning Qualifying, due to the huge number of bikes, so the QF was split into 2 groups with the fast guys in Group A, and with much less slow traffic at the Track, Cory Finally Broke the Zhuhai Circuit’s SBK record by posting a unbelievable 1.35.80 lap time that drop a lot of jaws !!!

Come Race 1 on Sat. The Yamaha Young Rider, Li Zheng Peng, with his 1st time on a R1 1000cc bike was posting also formidable time right after Cory’s time and both took off after the light with Li sticking to Cory in the 1st  few laps, then xoming to the 6th lap, the fight proves to be too hard for Li and with heavy back Marker traffic, Cory manage to shake loose and win the race with a comfortable margin.

On Sunday’s Race 2, Yamaha’s Li was in even better form and the 2 took off right from the start, but then there was a 3 bike pile up that comes with a red light and Cory was annoyed as the little comfort zone he pulled out was gone as the race has to start again.  At the 2nd start, again Cory took the lead followed by Li and this time, Li was giving all he has and even managed to past Cory to take the lead. But with much more big race experience and skill, Cory was in no rush to take back the lead but simply pushing Li by forcing him to late brake at every corner so that Cory couldn’t over take, but all these herculean effort finally tired Li and at Lap 8 with the last corner coming into the long front straight, Li finally brake too late and have to slow and run wide, that gave Cory the opening to take off pulling out a comfortable gap, despite Li’s trying,  all these hard braking and dicing took a toll on him and he just couldn’t get any closer with Cory winning the 2nd race of the weekend.

The Crowd went wide with catcalls , screaming and applause when Cory did a 400 m wheelie crossing the chequered flag and all the way in front of the Grandstand.

 It was a perfect Weekend for BG and the EBR Team,  being  their 1h time Zhuhai, China with a new bike and new everything and to be able to win both races was out of everyone's expectation.

The EBR and BG team worked faultlessly and most professionally together through the whole week and achieved a hard earned results.

During the weekend and after the race,  Cory and the Team was being interviewed non-stop by all the press and media from China,Hong Kong. 

The 1st Round of the Zhuhai Pan Delta Racing Festival was one of the best Racing event in Chinaever, there was the packed full Grandstand of voer 14,000 spectators and another few thousand VIP and guest at the Paddock.

The EBR-BG Team will race the full 3 Rounds of the Zhuhai Pan Delta Racing Festival at the next round in June, then Sept, we’re all looking forward for the next round as the last weekend has been one of the most exciting and satisfying race for a long time.

The team is also looking at racing at other Racing Festivals at other China Circuits that BG is organizing in 2015, and this will give the EBR the most extensive coverage in the Greater China market.
